The center of my book, THE BARBIZON DIARIES: A Meditation on Will, Purpose, and the Value Of Stories, began as a keynote address I gave as co-Guest of Honor at MythCon a few years ago. I told a story I recount in the book about how connections to our past selves are not only possible, but vital. Every day, every moment we are learning new lessons – but life is big, and broad, and sometimes the details of living overwhelm the small but valuable lessons we may not even realize we are learning.
Sometimes, it takes a reminder from our past to help us pave the right path ahead of us, and keep our focus on what really matters. Cherish your past; use its lessons in the choices of the present; and make your future extraordinary.
